Muscardini Cellars

Updated: Dec 3, 2021

Aaron and Tim went to Muscardini Cellars in Kenwood, Sonoma County. They are producing some very exciting Italian inspired wines. They had a great cool climate Pinot Grigio with plenty of acidity. The rosato di Sangiovese was bright, fruity with a really cool citrus zest character, and a slight peppery finish. They had a selection of reds that were really fun expressions of Italian style while still showcasing Sonoma fruit. They offered 3 single vineyard Sangiovese, they have Barbera, and Syrah. They showed us some Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Zinfandel as well. They produce house cured salume as an additional treat, and we are excited to offer classes using your preferred selection of their wines. We suggest the Pinot Grigio, the rosato of Sangiovese, and the Barbera as an Italian inspired class. A compare/contrast of the Sangiovese would also be a fun exercise, and probably we should send along some salume with the bottles.
