On the road with WineTime

We are off to wine country! The WineTime Online crew is going to Napa and Sonoma to meet with some wine professionals and select wines for upcoming wine classes, perhaps a little fun as well. We are leaving from San Francisco to spend a few days in the north coast. On the first day we will visit Castello di Amorosa and check out the castle, it's majestic grounds and try their Italian inspired wines made of Sangiovese, Barbera, and Pinot Bianco. We will tour the castle and walk the grounds. Later that day we will be heading to Cliff Lede to experience some really big, bold red blends and Cabernet Sauvignon. Along the way we will talk about site selection and why certain grapes are grown in the separate climates and soils, and discuss what we enjoyed at each of the sites. We will be visiting Sonoma, too.
We are going to start day 2 with some bubbles at Iron Horse Winery, and take a tour of the property. The guests will taste through a selection of various wines and help me select the choices for our upcoming wine events. We will head over to Kenwood to see the difference in Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma aside the previous days Napa fruit, for an exercise in compare and contrasting styles.
It is probably going to be too warm for me in the vineyards in August, so I booked us a tour at Gundlach Bundschu, in the cave, checking out the winery and taking a tour. We are so excited to be doing this type of trip, and we are hopefully going to get many fun stories, videos, and pictures out of our trip.
